Senior Laravel Developer (Full-Time | 4–5+ Years Experience)

We are looking for a Senior Laravel Developer with 4–5+ years of professional experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Laravel, PHP, and modern backend development practices, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Key Requirements 4–5+ years of hands-on experience developing web applications using Laravel and PHP. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), MVC architecture, and software design principles. Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs, integrating third-party APIs, and working with authentication systems such as JWT, OAuth, or Laravel Sanctum/Passport. Solid experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL, including database design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning. Strong knowledge of Laravel Eloquent ORM, Migrations, Queues, Jobs, Events, Notifications, Scheduling, and Caching. Experience with Redis, caching strategies, session management, and application performance optimization. Familiarity with frontend technologies such as Blade, Livewire, Inertia.js, and working knowledge of Vue.js or React.js. Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development using GitHub or GitLab workflows. Understanding of Docker, deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux server environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of web security best practices, including authentication, authorization, CSRF, XSS, SQL Injection prevention, and secure coding standards. Ability to write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code while following coding standards and best practices. Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative remote team. Must be committed to a full-time role with availability to work during UK business hours when required. Preferred Skills Experience with AWS, DigitalOcean, or other cloud platforms. Knowledge of WebSockets, Laravel Echo, or real-time applications. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Familiarity with automated testing using PHPUnit or Pest. Experience with Composer package development or maintaining existing Laravel packages.
