Discord Community Growth Manager (Developer Community)

We're looking for someone to build our Discord community from the ground up. SynapCores is an AI-native database that unifies SQL, vector search, graph analytics, multimodal AI, machine learning, and AI inference into a single engine. We offer a free Community Edition and are building a community around developers, AI engineers, data engineers, and technical leaders. Today, our Discord server has **zero members**. We're looking for someone who sees that as an opportunity. This role is about creating a thriving technical community from scratch. You'll define the strategy, execute it, and build a place where developers want to participate. ## What You'll Do * Build and execute a community growth strategy. * Recruit qualified developers into our Discord community. * Create discussions that encourage participation. * Plan and host community events such as office hours, demos, technical discussions, and AMAs. * Help new members become active participants. * Gather product feedback from the community. * Work with our engineering team to share product updates, technical content, and new releases. * Identify opportunities to promote SynapCores across Reddit, GitHub, Dev.to, LinkedIn, X, Discord communities, newsletters, and other developer channels. * Measure growth and continually improve engagement. ## What We're Looking For You have experience building or growing technical communities. Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: * Discord community management * Developer Relations (DevRel) * AI or machine learning communities * Database technologies * Developer tooling * SaaS products * Technical marketing * GitHub communities Bonus experience includes: * AI Agents * MCP * RAG * Vector databases * Graph databases * Python * Rust * TypeScript ## Success Looks Like Within the first 90 days, we'd like to see measurable progress in: * Qualified developer members * Weekly active users * Daily technical discussions * Returning members * Community-generated feedback * Product advocates * Design partner introductions We're building a community of developers who build software, solve problems, and provide meaningful feedback.
