Senior WordPress / WooCommerce Developer (Custom Builds, Long-Term, No Page Builders)

We are a WordPress-focused development team working primarily with agencies and complex client projects. We’re looking to expand our bench with a high-level developer who is comfortable working on custom, non-trivial WordPress / WooCommerce builds - not template-based or plugin-stacking work. This is a test post to identify developers for ongoing collaboration. What we typically work on Our projects are not standard brochure sites. Most involve: Custom WooCommerce functionality (checkout flows, payments, subscriptions, logic) Performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, real traffic, not just Lighthouse scores) Large or complex websites (multi-language, multi-site, high content volume) Advanced ACF usage (Options Pages, flexible content, structured systems) Gutenberg / custom blocks (not just classic editor or builders) API integrations (CRMs, marketing tools, automation systems) Debugging complex issues (plugin conflicts, server-level issues, database problems) What this is NOT Not Elementor-only work Not “install a theme and tweak it” Not short-term one-off fixes We’re specifically looking for developers who: Understand when to use WordPress - and when to go beyond default behavior Can build custom functionality using hooks, filters, and proper architecture Think in systems, not pages Requirements 4+ years of WordPress / WooCommerce experience Strong PHP, JavaScript, MySQL Experience with custom themes / plugins Solid understanding of performance and scalability Good communication (written English is enough) How we work Long-term collaboration (many of our projects run for months/years) Direct communication (Slack / task managers) Clear structure and expectations Focus on quality over quantity
