Build an Amazon Data MCP Server for Claude Desktop

Project Overview We're looking for an experienced Python developer to build a custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server that connects Amazon's data ecosystem to Claude Desktop. Once set up, we'll be able to query Amazon product data, sales analytics, inventory, ads performance, and more — directly through natural language in Claude Desktop. What You'll Build An MCP-compliant server in Python 3.10+ Amazon SP-API and Advertising API integration with proper OAuth (LWA) auth handling Tools for: product lookup, sales & revenue analytics, inventory levels, keyword performance, sponsored ads metrics, and category/competitor insights Clean JSON responses formatted so Claude can summarize and present data naturally Local deployment support (runs on our machine alongside Claude Desktop) Requirements Proven MCP server experience in Python — link to prior work required Strong Python skills (asyncio, type hints, clean structure) Direct experience with Amazon SP-API or Amazon Advertising API Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0 and API rate-limit handling
