We are building an AI-powered education platform: an engaging learning app for kids paired with a full LMS and admin dashboard. The product spans three surfaces, a friendly student-facing experience, AI-powered assessment and feedback, and the backend tooling that lets teachers and administrators manage content, users, and performance. We are looking for a senior full stack AI engineer who can own features end to end across all of it, ship fast, and help shape architecture and product decisions.
What you will do
- Build the student-facing app with an interface designed for kids: simple, engaging, and accessible
- Build teacher and admin dashboards for content management, user management, and reporting
- Design and implement the LMS core: courses, lessons, content delivery, and progress tracking
- Build the AI assessment layer: automated grading, adaptive difficulty, question generation, and personalized feedback
- Integrate LLM providers and design reliable prompting, structured outputs, and evaluation
- Design clean, scalable APIs and data models with role-based access for students, teachers, admins, and parents
- Set up and maintain deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD
- Write clean, tested, well-documented code
Required skills
- Hands-on experience shipping production LLM features (prompt engineering, RAG, function calling, structured outputs, evaluation)
- Clear written and spoken English, and the ability to work independently
Nice to have
- Prior EdTech or LMS experience
- Experience designing UI for children, and familiarity with accessibility standards
- Awareness of data privacy requirements for minors (COPPA, FERPA, GDPR-K)
- AI assessment, auto-grading, or adaptive learning experience
- Real-time and streaming features (WebSockets)
- Product analytics instrumentation (Mixpanel, PostHog)
Engagement details
- Timezone: EST
- Start date: Within July
