Python Developer – Build a Product Market Research Tool (MVP)

Project Overview I am looking for an experienced Python developer to build the first version (MVP) of a Product Market Research Tool. The objective is NOT to build an AI platform or a commercial application. The objective is simply to automate the collection of market research data for product ideas. The application must be reliable, modular, easy to maintain and easy to extend later. About Me I design and manufacture physical consumer products using: 3D Printing CNC Laser Cutting & Engraving UV Printing Before investing time into developing a new product, I want objective market data instead of making decisions based on intuition. The software should automate this research. Project Goal The software should: Read an Excel file containing product ideas. Retrieve market research data using DataForSEO. Generate a structured Excel report. Nothing more. No AI. No dashboard. No web application. This is Version 1 only. Input The application should read an Excel file. Processing The application should: Read every keyword Request the required data Process the returned JSON Convert everything into one structured Excel workbook Output Generate ONE Excel workbook. Development Approach To reduce project risk I want to work in small steps. Phase 1 (Maximum 3 Hours) Build a Proof of Concept. The Proof of Concept should: Read one product from Excel. Retrieve Search Volume data. Retrieve Google Trends data. Export the results to Excel. Nothing more. After approval we continue with the rest of the project. Phase 2 Complete the MVP. Support unlimited Excel rows. Improve logging. Improve error handling. Final delivery. Working Method Hourly contract. Maximum 20 development hours unless approved otherwise. Do not continue working beyond the approved hours without permission. Code Ownership After payment: All source code becomes my property. The application must run locally on Windows.
