Senior Full Stack React Native Engineer - Own Mobile App, Backend, external integration, Deployment

We’re looking for a senior full stack React Native engineer to take ownership of an active mobile app project. This is not a task-only role. We need someone who can own the application end-to-end across React Native, backend APIs, database changes, performance, builds, deployments, production support, QA support, and third-party integrations. We do not have another senior engineer supporting this project, so you need to be comfortable working independently across the full system. Ideally, we’re looking for someone with 8–10 years of experience, or someone who has genuinely owned production applications end-to-end. What you’ll work on • React Native mobile app feature development • Backend/API development and debugging • Database changes and migrations when needed • App performance improvements across mobile, API, and database layers • Builds, release management, and production deployments • Railway or similar deployment platforms • Stripe/payment workflows when needed • AI-powered image flows, including uploaded image analysis, cleanup, background removal, and media processing • Production issue debugging across mobile, backend, database, deployment, payments, and AI/media flows • QA support, bug fixing, regression support, and release validation • Jira updates, blocker tracking, and clear communication What we need • Strong React Native experience • Strong backend/API experience • Experience owning production applications • Comfortable working across mobile, backend, database, deployment, and third-party integrations • Experience with builds, deployments, and release management • Experience improving app performance • Ability to debug production issues independently • Strong communication and Jira discipline • Available during India daytime hours • Available for 80–120 hours/month, long-term Strongly preferred • Stripe/payment integration experience • Railway, Render, Heroku, AWS, or similar deployment experience • AI/image processing experience • Image upload, compression, cleanup, background removal, or media processing experience • PostgreSQL experience • Node.js / Express / NestJS experience • iOS and Android release experience • Experience working with QA during releases What matters most We do not need a mid-level developer who waits for instructions. We need someone who can understand the system, ask the right questions, build features, fix bugs, improve performance, deploy safely, work with QA, and keep delivery moving without constant follow-up.
