WordPress & Backend Systems Specialist What You'll Be Doing Work directly with ownership and our AI agents to identify and resolve website issues. Create, refine, and manage AI prompts that help diagnose and fix WordPress backend problems. Audit and optimize a large-scale WordPress website with over 67,000 published articles. Improve site speed, performance, indexing, and technical SEO. Troubleshoot plugin conflicts, database issues, redirects, schema, and legacy content challenges. Work with developers and AI tools to implement backend improvements. Help automate content, publishing, GEO/SEO, and editorial workflows. Review AI-generated solutions before deployment. Create documentation and standard operating procedures for ongoing maintenance. Requirements 5+ years of advanced WordPress experience. Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, plugins, themes, hosting, and databases. Experience working with large content websites (10,000+ pages preferred). Understanding of technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, indexing, schema, and site architecture. Comfortable working with legacy websites and large content databases. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Cloudflare, and hosting environments is a plus.
