I run a retail/e-commerce brand on Shopify and a wedding point of sale. I'm hiring someone to build automations and AI agents that replace repetitive work across the business.
I want a builder who can look at how we operate, identify what should be automated, and build it — automations, AI agents, or the hardware/tooling setup needed to run them reliably.
WHAT YOU'D BUILD
- AI agents and automations that take repetitive tasks off our plate end-to-end
- Integrations across our stack (Shopify, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Google, Meta, and the other tools we run on) so data and actions flow without manual copy-paste
- Automated reports and internal docs we currently pull together by hand
- Internal ops: updates, data entry, routing, cleanup
- Customer-facing: outreach, support, follow-ups, lifecycle
- Bottom line: anything we do over and over, I want automated
YOU'RE A STRONG FIT IF YOU
- Have shipped working automations or agents for real businesses (not just demos)
- Are fluent with LLM APIs (Claude and OpenAI/GPT) and can explain when to use which
- Know automation platforms (Zapier / Make / n8n) AND can drop into code (Python or JavaScript) when no-code hits a wall
- Can own a problem end-to-end, including any setup or infrastructure needed to make it run
- Communicate clearly and proactively
BONUS
- Experience connecting AI directly to tools (MCP, function calling, API integrations)
- Experience with Shopify e-commerce / DTC brands and tools like Klaviyo, HubSpot, or Meta
- You obsess over reliability: handling errors, edge cases, and things that break
HOW TO APPLY (please read)
1. Start your proposal with the word AUTOMATE so I know you read this.
2. In 3-4 sentences, describe one automation you built for a business: the manual task it replaced and the result (time saved, money saved, errors reduced).
3. Include a link, screenshot, or short Loom of something you've actually built.
4. No generic copy-paste proposals.
We'll start with a small paid test task. If it goes well, there is ongoing work.
