AI & Automation Specialist (Part-Time | 20 Hours/Week | Potential Full-Time)

We're looking for an experienced **AI & Automation Specialist** to join our team and help drive the next phase of our automation and AI strategy. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys solving business problems through technology, integrating systems, building intelligent automations, and identifying opportunities to improve business operations through AI. The role will initially be **20 hours per week**, with the opportunity to grow into a **full-time (40 hours/week)** position as our automation initiatives continue to expand. ## What You'll Be Working On You'll work across our core technology stack, designing and implementing automations, integrations, and AI-driven solutions that improve efficiency across the business. Our primary platforms include: * HubSpot CRM (including HubSpot APIs and custom code) * NetSuite ERP (including SuiteScript and workflow automation) * Make.com * Bubble.io * REST APIs and custom integrations * AI platforms and LLM technologies (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.) ## Responsibilities * Design, build and maintain complex business automations. * Develop custom integrations between HubSpot, NetSuite, Bubble, Make and other platforms. * Build API integrations and custom workflow solutions. * Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve business processes. * Develop AI-powered workflows, assistants and internal tools. * Improve operational efficiency across Sales, Marketing, Client Services, Business Operations, Finance and IT. * Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate them into scalable automation solutions. * Troubleshoot and optimise existing integrations and automations. * Recommend new technologies and automation approaches to improve business performance. ## What We're Looking For We're looking for someone with a strong software engineering background who understands both technology and business operations. ### Required Skills * Strong software development or software engineering background. * Advanced experience with HubSpot CRM and HubSpot APIs. * Experience working with NetSuite ERP and SuiteScript. * Advanced experience with Make.com. * Experience building and maintaining API integrations. * Experience with Bubble.io. * Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON and webhooks. * Experience designing scalable automation architectures. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. ### AI Experience You should have practical experience using AI to improve business operations, including: * AI workflow automation * LLM integrations * Prompt engineering * AI agents and assistants * AI-powered business process improvements * Identifying automation opportunities across multiple business functions We're looking for someone who doesn't simply build what they're asked to build—they proactively identify opportunities where AI and automation can create measurable business value. ## Nice to Have * Python, JavaScript or TypeScript * SQL * Experience with CRM and ERP integrations * Experience building internal business tools * Understanding of enterprise business operations ## Ideal Candidate You'll be someone who: * Thinks strategically as well as technically. * Has an automation-first mindset. * Enjoys solving complex operational problems. * Can quickly understand existing systems and improve them. * Is proactive in identifying opportunities rather than waiting for direction. * Communicates well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. ## Engagement * Part-time * 20 hours per week * Long-term engagement * Opportunity to transition to a full-time (40 hours/week) role ## When Applying Please include: * Examples of complex automations you've built. * Examples of HubSpot and NetSuite integrations. * AI projects you've delivered that improved business operations. * Your experience with Make.com and Bubble.io. * Links to any relevant portfolios, GitHub repositories or case studies.
