We’re looking for an experienced automation developer to build a simple workflow that pulls new jobs from the GigUp API, sends them to an AI model for a second-stage review, and stores the results in Google Sheets.
Budget: $150 fixed price
Timeline: Must be completed within the next 24 hours.
Project Overview
The workflow should:
1. Check the GigUp API every 5–15 minutes for newly discovered jobs.
2. Check whether each job already exists in a Google Sheet (using the GigUp Job ID).
3. Add any new jobs as new rows.
4. Send the job details to an AI model for review.
5. Update the same row with:
* AI decision (Apply / Don’t Apply)
* Recommended script version
* AI reasoning
That’s all. This is intentionally a lightweight automation.
We already have
* GigUp API documentation and credentials
* Google Sheet
* OpenAI API and Claude API access
* The prompts we want to use
We do not need help with prompt engineering or AI setup - we simply need you to call the existing API and write the response back into the sheet.
Tech Stack
We’re not tied to any particular platform.
You can use n8n, Make.com, Zapier, Google Apps Script, or another approach if you believe it’s the best solution.
Our biggest priority is keeping ongoing monthly costs as close to zero as possible (ideally zero).
Please recommend the approach you think achieves that while keeping the workflow reliable and easy to maintain.
Requirements
* Experience building API-based automations
* Comfortable working with REST APIs
* Experience integrating with Google Sheets
* Able to complete the project within the next 24 hours
* Build the solution so it’s easy to modify in future
Deliverables
* Fully working automation
* Duplicate prevention using the GigUp Job ID
* Basic error handling
* Brief documentation explaining how the workflow works and how to make simple changes
To Apply
Please include:
* A couple of examples of similar API automation work you’ve built
* Which platform you’d recommend (n8n, Make, Zapier, Google Apps Script, etc.) and why
* How you’ll keep ongoing monthly costs as close to zero as possible
* Confirmation that you can complete the project within the next 24 hours
Please only apply if you’ve built similar API automation workflows before and can start immediately. This is a small project, and we’re looking for someone who can get it built quickly rather than learn on the job.
