We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer to build an RFID-based inventory management solution consisting of three connected applications. The solution will be used to manage approximately 300 medical inventory items per client, and must integrate seamlessly through a central FTP server for data exchange (alternative: JSON).
Experience with RFID technologies, barcode scanners, Android development, and database-driven applications is highly desirable.
*Part 1 – Web-Based Inventory Management Application*
The web application will be integrated into our existing website and must support multiple customers through user management.
Main functionalities include:
- Multi-user authentication and customer management
- Management of approximately 300 inventory items per client
- Product master data including Part Number (P/N), Barcode, Supplier info, Price, Target stock quantity
- Automatic download of current inventory quantities from an FTP server
- Automatic synchronization of inventory data into the application database
- Calculation of replenishment quantities (Target Stock – Current Stock)
- Automatic generation of purchase orders via email to the respective suppliers
*Part 2 – Windows Desktop Application*
A lightweight Windows application is required to assign RFID labels to products.
Main functionalities include:
- Reading product barcodes using a barcode scanner
- Reading RFID labels
- Assigning each RFID tag to a specific product
- Updating the central product database on the FTP server with newly assigned RFID tag IDs
*Part 3 – Android Application for Chainway C5 RFID Reader*
We require an Android application running on the Chainway C5 handheld RFID reader.
Main functionalities include:
- Downloading the latest product database (including RFID tag assignments) from the FTP server
- Scanning RFID labels using the integrated Chainway RFID reader
- Matching scanned RFID tags against the locally stored database
- Calculating current inventory quantities for each product
- Uploading inventory quantities (approximately 300 products) back to the FTP server
Technical Requirements
- Strong experience with web application development
