This task is to develop a patent-pending, battery-powered handheld consumer device (temperature-regulated). The concept, specification and IP are complete and I'm looking for an experienced mechatronics engineer to deliver Phase 1 engineering development: turning the specification into a complete, validated engineering package that a fabrication partner can build from. Scope of work (delivered to a milestone structure over roughly 6 - 12 weeks): • Electronics and custom PCB design • Firmware development • Mechanical CAD and thermal design • Bench validation against a defined set of acceptance tests • A complete engineering handover pack (design files, source code, BOM, test reports) What I'm looking for: strong multidisciplinary hardware experience (electronics, embedded firmware, PCB, mechanical CAD), a structured milestone-based approach, and professional indemnity insurance. Full IP is assigned to the company, and detailed technical materials are shared under a formal NDA and development agreement, both of which are already drafted and ready.
