Hi, I'm looking for an engineer with hands-on experience developing embedded radar-based sensing systems. The project is to develop a resident monitoring system for assisted living facilities using **radar only** (no cameras or microphones). The primary objectives are: * Detect room occupancy and presence. * Detect body position (lying in bed, sitting up in bed, sitting on the bed edge, seated in a recliner/chair, standing). * Detect transitions between these states. * Detect falls with a low false-alarm rate. * Perform local processing on the device and output high-level events rather than raw point-cloud data. Before discussing implementation, I'd like to know: 1. Have you previously developed radar-based sensing applications? 2. Have you implemented or customized people tracking, pose estimation, or fall detection algorithms? 3. Can you provide examples of similar embedded sensing or radar projects you've completed? 4. What radar hardware platform would you recommend for this application, and why? 5. For this application, would you classify posture primarily from the radar point cloud, tracked object height/velocity, AI pose estimation, or another approach? Please explain your preferred solution. If this aligns with your experience, I'd be interested in discussing the project in more detail.
