React + Python developer needed — sports performance iPad app with computer vision and Bluetooth

Budget: $10000.0 FIXED / ⭐ 0.00 (0) United States

I am a Division 1 university golf coach building a proprietary performance analysis tool. This is not a consumer app. It is a professional coaching tool used during live training sessions with college athletes. The app combines two data sources: 1. **Club head velocity tracking** — extracted from 240fps iPhone slow-motion video using computer vision 2. **Positional force measurement** — streamed in real time via Bluetooth from a custom force measurement rig (ESP32 + load cell) Together these produce a diagnostic output that classifies each athlete into a performance profile and generates a periodized training program via the Claude API (Anthropic). **This project requires genuine computer vision experience.** If you have not tracked a fast-moving object in video before, this is not the right project for you. In your proposal, tell me specifically how you would detect and track a golf club head in 240fps slow-motion video, including how you would handle motion blur and frames where the club is partially occluded. **The full project spec is attached.** Read it completely before submitting a proposal. Proposals that do not address the club head tracking approach will not be considered. **What I am looking for:** - React frontend, Python backend (FastAPI or Flask) - Computer vision experience — MediaPipe, OpenCV, or equivalent (required) - Web Bluetooth API experience (required or strong willingness to learn with demonstrated similar hardware integration) - Supabase or similar database experience - iPad web app / PWA experience - Clear English communication and ability to work independently from a detailed spec Note: there is a companion hardware build happening in parallel (a custom Bluetooth force measurement device). You will need to coordinate with the hardware builder on the Bluetooth specification (BLE GATT service and characteristic UUIDs). This coordination is straightforward but must happen early in the project. If you have built something similar — sports tracking, force measurement display, real-time sensor data visualization — include it in your proposal. That is the strongest signal I can get.
