web-programming, react-js, javascript, helpdesk-support, game-development

We are scaling quickly and need a feature dev hired IMMEDIATELY. What We're Building We run a live, profitable IT service-desk simulator- a browser-based game where players work through a realistic helpdesk queue. Tickets include password resets, Active Directory lockouts, hardware issues, remote desktop repairs, software deployments, and more. Players diagnose and resolve issues while AI plays the role of the callers. The platform is used by real paying customers and in classrooms. **Stack** * Vite * React * Tailwind CSS * Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Functions) * Internationalization (i18n) across 9 languages # What You'll Do * Author new helpdesk scenarios end to end, including: * The caller's problem * The conversation flow * The correct resolution steps * Hints * Common mistakes a player can make * Scoring logic * Build the in-game functionality each scenario requires, such as new screens, diagnostic actions, or device states * Make tickets feel authentic. This is why we're looking for someone with real helpdesk experience rather than someone guessing how IT support works. * Write tests for everything you build. We have a strong testing culture (approximately 3,400 tests), and CI must stay green. # You Must Have * Real IT helpdesk or desktop support experience. You've worked support tickets and understand issues like Active Directory lockouts or imaging failures from firsthand experience. * Solid React and JavaScript skills. You can build components, manage state, and follow existing code patterns. * Clean development habits, including small pull requests, clear commit messages, and comprehensive tests. * Experience with Windows administration, Active Directory, SCCM, or remote support tools * Experience creating game or simulation content About the Job: *10 hours a week to start (hours may grow as we scale) Check out the website: https://www.servicedesk-simulator.com
