Senior AWS Cloud Infrastructure Architect | Build an Enterprise AI Platform

About the Project We are building a next-generation Enterprise AI Platform that will power commercial AI services for business customers. Unlike many AI projects focused on machine learning or prompt engineering, this engagement centers on designing and building the secure cloud infrastructure that enables enterprise AI applications to operate at production scale. This is a greenfield project. You will architect and build the technology foundation from the ground up, establishing the cloud infrastructure, security architecture, operational framework, and engineering standards that will support the company's future growth. The platform will integrate with leading AI providers through commercial APIs and is being designed as reusable enterprise infrastructure capable of supporting multiple AI services and software products. This is a highly visible role working directly with company leadership. We are seeking an experienced AWS infrastructure architect who enjoys building enterprise platforms—not simply maintaining existing environments. What You'll Build You will design, implement, document, deploy, and successfully hand over an enterprise AWS platform that includes: Enterprise AWS cloud architecture Production, development, and testing environments Identity & Access Management (IAM) Networking and VPC architecture Secrets and credential management Commercial information protection architecture Infrastructure automation Monitoring and observability Backup and disaster recovery CI/CD infrastructure Operations Portal for business administration Production deployment Production stabilization (Hypercare) Complete engineering documentation Knowledge transfer and administrator training You will also work closely with a separate software engineering team developing the customer-facing AI Gateway to ensure successful infrastructure integration. Responsibilities As the Principal Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for: Designing the overall AWS architecture Building secure production infrastructure Establishing enterprise security standards Designing identity and access management Implementing infrastructure automation Protecting commercial secrets and production credentials Establishing monitoring, logging, and operational visibility Designing backup and disaster recovery strategies Supporting integration with multiple AI providers Reviewing infrastructure integration with the application engineering team Leading Production Go-Live Providing Hypercare support following deployment Preparing complete engineering documentation Training administrators Successfully transferring operational ownership to the company This is an end-to-end architecture and infrastructure leadership role.
