Senior Full-Stack Engineer - AI Healthtech SaaS MVP Build

About the Project We are building Roman Copilot, an AI operating layer for medical aesthetics and outpatient healthcare practices. The product connects to existing practice management systems, including EMR/POS platforms, unifies fragmented operational data, and surfaces a daily AI-generated task queue for clinic managers and a strategic intelligence view for owners. Think of it as the operational intelligence layer small healthcare businesses have never had. We already have a detailed PRD, defined architecture, and design mockups in place. We are not designing from scratch. We need a strong engineer who can execute against a clear spec and make smart decisions when gaps surface. What You Will Build EMR API connector, starting with Boulevard, with a schema designed for future multi-EMR support HIPAA-conscious data architecture, including de-identification at ingestion and encryption in transit and at rest Analytics engine and KPI computation layer feeding both the UI and AI recommendation engine AI recommendation engine producing daily Observation / Impact / Action outputs using Claude API Manager task queue UI and owner strategic view with role-based access Conversational AI copilot sidebar across all screens, supporting natural language queries against live data Morning email digest and onboarding flow What We Are Looking For Strong full-stack experience with Node.js or Python backend and React or Next.js frontend Experience building against third-party APIs, ideally in healthcare or practice management Experience with data pipelines, schemas, and normalized data models Familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare data, or regulated-data architecture Experience integrating LLM APIs such as Claude, OpenAI, or similar into production applications Ability to work from a detailed spec, move quickly, and flag gaps proactively Strong communication and comfort working in an early-stage startup environment Healthcare or EMR experience is a strong plus, but not required if you are an excellent systems-minded builder. ********************************** IMPORTANT - Engagement This will begin with a 1-hour intro call to assess fit.
