Over the past year, we’ve completed a full rebuild of our platform and are now focused on what comes next: shipping ambitious new features, improving the product, and continuing to scale. We’re looking for a senior full-stack TypeScript engineer to join our small engineering team. You’ll be our third developer, working alongside two existing engineers to design, build, and ship major new product features. This is a long-term role for someone who enjoys owning complex technical challenges, building polished products, and making a meaningful impact on a growing SaaS platform. What You’ll Be Working On - Building major new product features from concept to production - Real-time collaboration and editing - Comments, replies, and collaboration workflows - AI-powered features using OpenAI and other APIs - Performance optimization and scalability improvements - Maintaining and extending our existing backend services - Working closely with product and UX to shape new functionality Existing Tech Stack - Languages: TypeScript, SQL, GraphQL, CSS - Frontend: React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Zustand, Radix UI - Backend: Node.js, NestJS, Express, Apollo Server - API & Real-Time: GraphQL, Apollo Client, WebSockets, GraphQL subscriptions - Database: PostgreSQL - ORM & Migrations: Prisma - Authentication: AWS Cognito, AWS Amplify Auth, Google OAuth, Microsoft OAuth/MSAL, Microsoft Graph API - AWS Services, Containers & Deployment: ECS, ECR, RDS, Elastic Load Balancing/ALB, S3, CloudFront, SES, Cognito, CodeBuild, Docker, Docker Compose - External Integrations: Google Drive API, Stripe, MailerLite, Google Analytics 4 - File Processing: Sharp, Resvg, PDFKit, SVG-to-PDFKit, DOCX, html-to-image, JSZip - Build & Monorepo: Yarn Workspaces, Turborepo, Turbopack, GraphQL Code Generator - Testing: Vitest, Playwright, React Testing Library, Jest DOM, jsdom Who We’re Looking For This role is intended for experienced senior engineers who have successfully built and shipped complex SaaS products. You Should Have - Strong TypeScript, React, and Node.js experience - Experience building production SaaS applications with real users - Experience building highly interactive web applications - Experience with PostgreSQL and Prisma (or another modern ORM) - Experience with GraphQL (Apollo Server/Client or similar) - Experience with modern React state management (Zustand, Redux, MobX, etc.) - Experience deploying applications on AWS (ECS, Docker, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Cognito, or similar) - Experience implementing complex product features with a high degree of ownership - Strong problem-solving skills and architectural thinking Bonus Experience - Real-time collaboration or collaborative editing systems - WebSockets or GraphQL Subscriptions - AI integrations using OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar APIs - Rich interactive editors, diagramming tools, whiteboards, design tools, CAD, productivity apps, or other canvas-based applications - Performance optimization for large-scale React applications - Authentication systems (OAuth, Cognito, Microsoft/Google integrations) - Monorepos (Turborepo, Yarn Workspaces) and modern frontend tooling - Testing with Playwright, Vitest, or React Testing Library We’re not looking for someone to simply implement tickets. We’re looking for an engineer who can understand product goals, propose technical solutions, anticipate edge cases, and take ownership of major features from design through production.
