Shopify API, Airtable & Marketplace Integration Specialist

ImaginariumTech is seeking an experienced Shopify and Airtable integration specialist to audit correct, upgrade, and optimize an existing Airtable-to-Shopify automation system that feeds Integrationtocother marketplaces. This is not a build or rebuild project. The existing automation framework is functioning, but requires ongoing validation and correction of data mapping, automation logic, API interactions, inventory handling, image management, and metafield assignments to ensure reliable catalog deployment and marketplace readiness. We are looking for an individual freelancer only. No agencies, subcontractors, or outsourced teams. Project Responsibilities Phase 1 – Audit, Validation & Specification Mapping Audit the existing Airtable-to-Shopify implementation and confirm or correct specification mapping from source data to Shopify fields and metafields. This includes: Product fields Variant fields Inventory fields Shipping fields Product metafields Variant metafields Product media/images Tags, categories, and collections Confirm namespaces, keys, field types, and intended Shopify destinations, and identify any mapping discrepancies requiring correction. Phase 2 – Airtable Automation & API Audit Audit existing Airtable automations, scripts, and Shopify API integrations to confirm proper functionality and identify required corrections. Areas of review include: Correct assignment of product and variant metafields Inventory quantity mapping and synchronization Create, update, and delete logic Automation triggers responsible for creating and updating Shopify listings Image handling and media uploads Missing or incorrect field mappings Shopify API interactions and error handling Phase 3 – Ongoing Catalog Deployment Monitoring Monitor ongoing catalog deployment from source data in Airtable to Shopify. Responsibilities include: Verifying data synchronization accuracy Monitoring metafield population Confirming inventory updates process correctly Reviewing image availability and integrity Identifying and resolving deployment issues Confirming automation performance during ongoing catalog updates Phase 4 – Marketplace Readiness Assist in preparing Shopify data for marketplace expansion through marketplace applications and integrations. Responsibilities include: Reviewing marketplace data requirements Assisting with mapping Shopify product data to marketplace applications Supporting marketplace feed readiness Identifying data structure improvements needed for marketplace publishing Required Skills Strong working knowledge of Shopify, Airtable automations, APIs, data mapping, and ecommerce system integrations. Preferred Experience eBay item specifics mapping Marketplace feed management Shopify marketplace integrations Application Requirements Please provide: Specific Shopify API experience. Experience with metafields and metaobjects. Estimated hours required for this project. Confirmation that you are an individual freelancer and not an agency. Engagement Structure This is a weekly position. Work will be structured around completion of the project phases and associated milestones, followed by ongoing weekly monitoring and support. Compensation will include milestone-based payments for completion of the audit and correction phases, plus weekly compensation for an additional six-week monitoring period.
