Sankofa Knowledge Exchange is a Georgia-based 501(c)(3) serving Black youth ages 16-25 impacted by foster care and juvenile justice. We need an experienced web developer to build our site from an existing design mockup but make it jazzy. What's already done: Full copy written and locked for all pages Design mockup establishing visual direction (dark brown, cream, red, gold palette — bold typography, clean grid layouts, cultural data as visual statements) Domain registered (thisissankofa.org via Namecheap) What we need: Platform recommendation and setup (open to Squarespace, Webflow, or WordPress — must be manageable by a small team after handoff) Full build using existing copy and mockup as the foundation Motion and interactivity that brings the design to life Mobile-responsive design Basic SEO setup Donation processing and contact form integration Domain connection from Namecheap Brief handoff walkthrough for our team Ideal candidate: Portfolio includes mission-driven, community, or cultural brand sites Experience designing for communities of color is a strong plus Can work efficiently from existing assets without needing a ton creative direction Timeline: Launch within 3-4 weeks To apply, share your portfolio and two or three examples most relevant to this project.
