Website Maintenance Specialist

We are a nonprofit booster organization seeking an experienced WordPress professional to take over the ongoing maintenance and management of our website following a recent hosting migration. The website is currently hosted on Bluehost, running the Avada theme, and is fully operational. We are looking for a reliable freelancer who can ensure the website remains secure, updated, backed up, and functioning properly on an ongoing basis. Scope of Work The selected freelancer will be responsible for: Performing regular WordPress core updates Updating the Avada theme as needed Updating and monitoring all WordPress plugins Ensuring website security and monitoring for vulnerabilities Setting up and verifying automated backups (Bluehost backups and/or UpdraftPlus) Testing website functionality after updates Troubleshooting and resolving WordPress issues as they arise Reviewing hosting and administrative settings for best security practices Assisting with password and administrator account management Providing recommendations for improving website security and reliability Restoring content when needed (including a missed post from June 2026 if applicable) Current Website Environment Website: BBABC.net Hosting: Bluehost CMS: WordPress Theme: Avada (license is already paid and active) SSL: Active and verified DNS: Successfully migrated and operational Email services are already functioning and not part of this project Initial Tasks Upon engagement, we'd like the freelancer to: Review the site's overall health and security. Confirm backup procedures are properly configured. Verify WordPress, theme, and plugin update status. Review user accounts and administrative access. Provide recommendations for ongoing maintenance. Establish a monthly maintenance process.
