We are a U.S.-based digital agency looking for an experienced WordPress and WooCommerce Developer to complete an existing website upgrade. The website is already built in WordPress and includes WooCommerce integration, but it is not currently operating as an e-commerce website. Online purchasing is not part of this initial project. We already have the complete and approved Figma design. We need a reliable developer who can accurately implement the design within the existing WordPress website, complete the remaining development work, and deliver a polished, production-ready result. This initial project may lead to ongoing WordPress and WooCommerce development opportunities across additional client projects. INITIAL PROJECT SCOPE -Convert the completed Figma design into a pixel-perfect WordPress implementation. -Upgrade the existing website to closely match the approved Figma design. -Complete all remaining front-end development required to finish the website upgrade. -Accurately implement all page layouts, sections, spacing, typography, colors, buttons, images, icons, forms, and interactive elements. -Ensure consistent design implementation across the entire website. -Make all pages fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. -Preserve the existing WordPress structure, content, WooCommerce integration, and required website functionality. -Resolve any theme, plugin, CSS, JavaScript, responsive, or layout issues that prevent the website from matching the Figma design. -Build reusable sections and components consistently when appropriate. -Test the website across major browsers and screen sizes. -Complete development and testing in a staging environment before deployment. -Address revisions identified during design review and quality assurance. -Deploy the approved website updates to production. -Deliver a polished, stable, responsive, and production-ready website. REQUIRED SKILLS -At least three years of professional WordPress development experience. -Strong experience working with WooCommerce-integrated WordPress websites. -Proven experience converting Figma designs into pixel-perfect WordPress websites. -Strong front-end development and responsive implementation skills. -Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and MySQL. -Experience with custom themes, child themes, and WordPress template customization. -Ability to troubleshoot theme, plugin, CSS, JavaScript, hosting, and database issues. -Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, or similar page-building systems. -Ability to preserve existing functionality while upgrading the front-end design. -Experience with staging environments, backups, Git, testing, and production deployment. -Strong attention to detail and the ability to compare the completed website against Figma. -Strong written English and reliable communication. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE -WooCommerce customization and future e-commerce implementation. -Custom WordPress plugin development. -WP Engine, Cloudflare, cPanel, DNS, and SSL. -API and third-party platform integrations. -Website performance and Core Web Vitals optimization. -GA4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking. -ADA and WCAG accessibility improvements. -Experience working with a digital agency and managing multiple client projects. WORK SCHEDULE AND COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS You must be available daily during at least one of the following U.S. Pacific Time communication windows: -9:00 AM to 12:00 PM PT. -4:00 PM to 6:00 PM PT. You must consistently maintain one of these daily overlap periods for: -Project communication. -Meetings and screen-sharing sessions. -Ticket and task reviews. -Progress updates. -Questions and issue resolution. -Design and quality-assurance feedback. WORK PROCESS REQUIREMENTS -Review the complete Figma design and existing website before beginning development. -Follow the approved Figma design accurately. -Use the assigned project-management system, including Teamwork when required. -Provide regular progress updates. -Track time accurately with clear descriptions of completed work. -Work in a staging environment whenever possible. -Do not make unapproved changes directly to the live website. -Do not replace the theme, plugins, website structure, or existing functionality without approval. -Test all pages on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. -Test all changes across major browsers. -Communicate immediately when encountering a blocker, delay, or unexpected technical issue. -Complete revisions based on design review and quality-assurance feedback. Applications without three relevant website examples, Figma-to-WordPress experience, and confirmation of U.S. Pacific Time availability may not be considered. This first project may lead to ongoing WordPress and WooCommerce development work for the right developer.
