Full Stack Engineer for Full-Time Role

Overview This is a FULL-TIME role at U.S., VC-Backed Startup. As such, if we hire you, you cannot continue to consult or do any other form of work. Technical Summary • Strong TypeScript and modern React: production UIs with component systems (shadcn/Tailwind), client-side data fetching, and state management, with testing via Vitest and Playwright. • Solid backend engineering in Python, Go, or a comparable typed language: REST/gRPC APIs, clean separation of concerns (handlers, services, models), and integration testing. • Workflow orchestration: modeling long-running, multi-step processes with Temporal (or similar; Airflow/Celery/Step Functions experience transfers), including retries, timeouts, and async task coordination. • Relational database fluency with PostgreSQL: schema design, migrations, query performance, and indexing; bonus for pgvector/embeddings. • Comfort across a service-oriented, polyglot architecture: connecting frontend, API, workers, and datastores end-to-end on a single feature. • Working knowledge of cloud + container tooling (GCP, Docker, object storage like GCS/MinIO) and modern build/deploy workflows. • Product-minded: able to take a feature from UI through API and workflow to the database, with attention to correctness, error states, and not masking missing data with fake defaults.
