I want to use my Acer computer as a Local AI without internet access. The 3 devices will be connected to each other within a local network.
Device Roles:
Acer Computer (The Brain): Acts as the Local AI (offline), runs Home Assistant, and serves as the network's brain and database for the Mini PC.
Mini PC (The Cloud Hub): Connected to the internet and Cloud AI. It will work autonomously using Hermes Nous, CrewAI, OpenRouter, etc.
HP Computer (The Dashboard): Features a touchscreen and is positioned between my 4 monitors. It will act as a large dashboard, displaying apps like a smartphone, and will be connected to the AI.
System Requirements & Goals:
The idea is to turn this trio into a fully autonomous system. I want everything completely installed, with perfectly functioning routing and configuration.
Cost & Power Efficiency: The hardware must operate cost-effectively. For example, the HP should go into deep sleep when not in use. The AI models should also be optimized for cost efficiency while extracting the best possible performance.
Sensory Capabilities: The Acer must have full access to a webcam. The local model must be able to see, hear, and speak.
Plugins & Browser Automation: Skills, plugins, and browser automation must be fully installed and tested (leveraging the many available resources on GitHub). Through browser automation, the AI should be able to utilize open browser windows (e.g., Claude) and independently assign tasks there.
Autonomous Task Distribution: I want Hermes (or another autonomous AI) to use Cloud AI models via API to distribute tasks, specifically utilizing an "Architect" and a "Reviewer" dynamic.
User Interface: I want a single App or Browser interface (e.g., Row Bot) where I can chat with the AI.
Deliverables:
I want a highly robust baseline installed and tested so that I can use the system immediately. Out of the box, I need to be able to create my own agents, speak with the AI, and have the AI see through the webcam.
Timeline & Logistics:
Start: All computers must be installed from scratch (from zero). Access will be provided.
Deadline: It would be a dream to have this setup finished by Sunday. Otherwise, within 2 weeks.
