Headless Ecommerce Developer – Next.js + BigCommerce, Product Catalog Rebuild

We are rebuilding our ecommerce storefront, moving from a template-based BigCommerce theme to a headless setup using Next.js. The current site is slow, difficult to customise, and increasingly limiting for our requirements. We are therefore looking for someone who has actually delivered headless BigCommerce projects, rather than someone with only theme customisation experience. The scope includes: 1. Migrating our existing product catalogue of around 800 SKUs to a headless Next.js frontend 2. Rebuilding the category and product pages with faceted filtering by attribute, price, and availability 3. Preserving the existing SEO setup, including proper redirects, metadata, and structured data 4. Integrating the existing payment and shipping setup through the BigCommerce API 5. Delivering a clear improvement in Core Web Vitals compared to the current site We are happy to share the current Lighthouse scores with serious applicants. We are not looking for a generalist who will figure out the headless architecture during the project.
