Mobile App Developer - React Native / Expo, TypeScript, MeteorJS - WORK TIMES MUST OVERLAP US EAST

We are building the first customer-facing mobile app for an existing tour booking platform. The backend is a Meteor application and most of the business logic is already built and tested — the mobile developer's job is to build the React Native frontend that connects to it and make sure things look great on iOS and Android. The work: 18 documented user stories covering the customer MVP: tour browsing, search, a multi-step booking wizard with payment, booking history, and PDF itinerary access. An Expo / React Native project already exists with authentication, session persistence, and navigation scaffolding in place, built on the Obytes React Native starter. This is an MVP and we plan to continue adding features after initial rollout. Integration note: The backend uses Meteor's DDP (pubsub) for accessing data and Meteor methods for updates rather than a conventional REST API. We'll define the methods and publications together as we build- much of it already exists on the backend but updates will be required. You don't need prior Meteor experience, but comfort working with reactive data and collaborating on API contracts is important. What we're looking for: An experienced React Native / Expo developer who can work independently, communicate async in English, has good design sensibilities, and be available for regular video calls to discuss progress and direction. Experience with Uniwind (Tailwind for React Native) or the Obytes starter kit is a strong plus. Deliverables: - Functional React Native app (iOS + Android) covering the attached user stories - Clean, maintainable code built on the existing project structure - Regular updates and availability for calls with US business hours overlap Engagement: Hourly project with milestone payments, approximately 6 weeks for the MVP. Strong candidates may have an ongoing role as the platform grows.
