Read this before applying
I'm a solo freelance WordPress dev. Just me. Been doing this for 6 years, mostly Bricks and Woo builds for
small business clients. No agency, no PM, no team.
I took on too much this month. One client demo at 9pm my time, another build I promised to push tonight, and
this third site sitting here with two bugs I don't have the bandwidth to chase. Math is not mathing. So I'm paying
someone to take this one off my plate.
Hop in, fix it, push to staging, send me a Loom, disappear. No call, no audit, no scope creep. I know what's
wrong, I just need hands.
If you need hand-holding this is not the job. If you can read someone else's code without complaining, keep
reading.
The site
- WordPress + Bricks Builder (NOT Elementor, don't apply if you only know Elementor)
- WooCommerce
- ACF Pro
- Custom child theme, some of my own PHP in functions.php and /inc/
- Cloudways (Vultr HF)
- Staging is already live, you work there, I push to prod myself
What's broken
1. Bricks template stopped rendering the query loop: The custom "Case Studies" archive I built in Bricks
suddenly shows nothing on the frontend after I pulled a fresh DB from prod last night. The loop is set,
posts exist, CPT is registered. I worked last week. Something in the meta query or a dynamic data tag
is failing silently. I think it's the ACF relationship field but I haven't had time to dig.
2. Woo checkout redirect firing twice: After payment success, the customer hits the thank-you page, then
gets bounced to /shop ~2 seconds later. I added a custom redirect via woocommerce
_
thankyou last
month for a different flow and it's misfiring for the new product type. Needs to redirect ONLY for
product category "consulting"
, everything else stays on default thank-you.
What I need
- Both bugs fixed on staging
- Loom under 3 min showing the fix and what was wrong so I can learn from it
- Clean code. If you touch functions.php, comment your change with // FIX [date], [what] so I can find it later
- DON'T install plugins to solve this. I'll reject the delivery.
- DON'T refactor anything that isn't broken. Surgical only.
Timeline
Hiring within 30 minutes of this post. Whoever I pick has to deliver within 4 hours of hire. If you can't be at
your machine for the next 4 hours straight, skip this one, I'd rather wait 10 more minutes for someone who can.
Don't send a portfolio link. Don't tell me you're "passionate about WordPress.
" Tell me you've fixed a you know
your way around Woo hooks. That's it.
