AI Automation & Workflow Engineer (n8n/Make + Claude/OpenAI API)

We're a growing business running on a mature automation stack, and we need a hands-on AI Automation Engineer to maintain and extend it — not just build once and disappear. What you'll work on: Build and maintain workflows in n8n and/or Make.com connecting our core tools (CRM, Google Workspace, Slack, and similar) Integrate Claude or OpenAI APIs for real business use cases: structured outputs, tool use/function calling, and LLM-powered agents — not chatbot demos Monitor live automations, troubleshoot failures, and document root causes when things break Design and maintain API/webhook integrations where no native connector exists (auth, rate limits, retries, error handling) Build human-in-the-loop review steps for anything AI-generated before it reaches customers or goes live Keep clear, current documentation so the system stays maintainable by others Requirements: Proven, production experience with n8n, Make, or Zapier — not tutorials, real client/business systems Hands-on experience with Claude or OpenAI APIs: tool calling, structured outputs, prompt design Strong REST API skills: reading docs independently, handling JSON, webhooks, OAuth A diagnostic mindset — you test against real data and flag unknowns instead of guessing Experience inheriting or maintaining someone else's automation stack (not just building your own from scratch) Clear, proactive written communication — you'll work directly with non-technical stakeholders
