Developer Analyst for Sales/Pricing Simulation System

We're looking for a data scientist with Python coding skills to develop a minimum viable product (MVP) for a simulation system that will help make decisions regarding: * how many products to put up for sale * on which channels * at what price The goal is to build a tool that, given certain inputs (sales history, prices, etc.), allows for the simulation of different scenarios and suggests the best possible choices. What the system should do: * Receive inputs (e.g., products, prices, channels, historical data, client objectives) * Simulate possible sales scenarios * Return outputs such as: * expected sales * estimated sales time * comparison of different options Note: I don’t yet have a defined mathematical model, so I’m looking for someone who can also contribute to defining the logic (not just pure development). Requirements: * Strong knowledge of Python * Experience with data analysis (pandas, numpy, etc.) * Ability to reason about simulation logic / models * Experience with the following is a plus: * pricing * forecasting models (even simple ones) * optimization (even basic) Expected Output (First Phase): * Script or small working system * Clear and well-documented code * Ability to iterate on the model together
