**Title: Experienced VPS Administrator Needed for Laravel Platform — Review and Launch Preparation** We are looking for an experienced and reliable VPS administrator to take over and prepare our existing real estate platform, **CasaLatam24.com**, for launch. The platform is built with **Laravel** and runs on a **ScalaHosting managed VPS**, using **Cloudflare**. The migration, server setup and staging environment have already been completed. A Git deployment process also exists. We need someone to review the current setup, identify what has already been completed correctly, and finish the remaining server-side preparation. The full platform is still being developed and tested on staging. We also have a temporary presentation and registration page for the main domain. **Phase 1: Immediate review and continuity** Please: - Check that we have full owner access to the hosting account, VPS, server, backups and relevant services. - Review the security configuration and verify that previous administrators no longer have access. - Check that the live website and staging environment work independently where required. - Review and verify the existing deployment process, including Git deployment to staging. - Check the current backups of files and databases, their storage location and restoration procedure. - Provide a clear overview of the current setup, urgent issues and recommended actions. We also need an immediate storage and capacity assessment: - Report total, used and available disk space. - Show usage by property images and generated variants, databases, staging, backups, logs and temporary files. - Check whether English and Spanish share the same image files and whether duplicate or obsolete images are accumulating. - Estimate storage requirements and recurring monthly costs for **80,000 and 180,000 properties**, including image variants, retained originals, backups and relevant request costs. - Compare the current number of photos per property with a **10-photo scenario**. This is for planning only; we have not approved a photo limit. - Recommend whether the existing VPS is sufficient or whether additional storage or another setup will be required. **Phase 2: Server preparation before launch** After the import corrections and major development work are complete, review, configure and optimise the server using representative data. This includes: - Web server, PHP, PHP-FPM/OPcache and database configuration. - Caching and Cloudflare settings. - Security, firewall and the support status of PHP and Laravel. - Queue workers, Supervisor and scheduled jobs. - Backups, including an **actual restore test in an isolated environment**. - Monitoring, alerts, SSL and certificate renewal. - Server response times and remaining performance bottlenecks. Please coordinate with our Laravel developer, Sarvesh, on application and server responsibilities. For performance and load testing, agree in advance who will run the tests, who will monitor server resources and how the results will be reported. Provide a short report documenting what was checked, what was changed, before-and-after measurements where relevant, and any remaining issues. **Budget and working conditions** - Our target budget is **$300 fixed price for both phases together**, covering the review of the existing setup and completion of the remaining server-side preparation. - Clearly identify what is included and flag any exclusions in your proposal before we agree on the contract. - Review the existing setup first and retain configurations that work correctly. - Do not delete files or images, change photo limits, purchase services or make major changes without our approval. - Infrastructure upgrades, migration, application development and ongoing maintenance must be quoted separately before starting. - We retain ownership and access to all accounts, code, data and backups. - Provide updated documentation and access information for any changes you make. - A confidentiality agreement will be required before access is provided. **Availability and communication** We need reliable communication, clear working hours and an agreed response time, particularly if the website or server is down. Please explain your availability during European business hours, your emergency support arrangements and what happens when you are unavailable.
