We are looking for an experienced backend/full-stack engineer to help us turn a strong existing MVP into a reliable, scalable, production-ready product. We already have a React frontend and a Supabase/Postgres backend, and are looking for someone who can strengthen the architecture and help us move quickly toward launch. The work may include backend architecture, database design, API development, background jobs, cloud deployment, GitHub workflows/CI-CD, AI/LLM integrations, authentication, logging, monitoring, and data-security best practices. We are a small, fast-moving team with backgrounds across high-performance technology and business environments. We have a clear product direction, an existing build, and an immediate need to ship. We are looking for someone who can work independently, communicate clearly, make practical technical decisions, and take ownership of important parts of the build. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys early-stage product work, solving infrastructure problems, and helping bring a real product from MVP to production over the next few weeks. We are open to hourly or milestone-based work, but would prefer to begin with an hourly engagement with a clear weekly cap and defined checkpoints. The first phase would likely involve reviewing the current React/Supabase/Postgres setup, identifying backend and infrastructure gaps, and shipping with us for a production-ready launch. We expect this to be a focused 4–6 week sprint, roughly 10–25 hours per week depending on availability and fit, with the possibility of extending if the collaboration works well. Rate is flexible based on experience, but we are looking for someone practical, reliable, and able to take ownership rather than someone who only completes isolated tickets. We may begin with a short paid technical review or trial task before committing to the full sprint. This would involve reviewing the current architecture and proposing a practical backend, deployment, and security plan.
