About Hygea
Hygea is an established home services app serving customers and service providers across Australia. We are building a dedicated, long-term tech team to handle ongoing development, maintenance, and feature enhancements for both our mobile apps (iOS & Android) and our web-based admin portal.
Our Melbourne-based team works with developers from around the world — we welcome applications from talented individuals and agencies globally.
Responsibilities
Maintain, update, and improve the Hygea mobile app on both Android and iOS platforms
Maintain and enhance the admin web portal — features, performance, and UI/UX improvements
Develop new features as the product roadmap evolves
Provide ongoing technical support and bug resolution with fast response times
Collaborate with our team remotely via clear written and verbal English communication

Engagement & Payment Structure
This is a milestone-based engagement. Work will be scoped, agreed, and paid per deliverable — giving both sides full clarity and control. There is no fixed hourly or monthly rate. Each milestone will be defined, quoted, and approved before work begins.
This is a long-term opportunity (6+ months) with the potential to grow as our product roadmap expands.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in mobile app development and maintenance (iOS & Android)
Solid web development skills — frontend and backend
Strong, clear communication in English (written and spoken)
Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive — you flag issues before they become problems
Comfortable working independently and asynchronously with an Australian-based client
Actively uses AI coding tools to boost output quality and speed
Open to one person or a small team (2–3 people) depending on your setup
Screening Questions
Describe a bug you found and fixed in a payment integration — what was it and how did you fix it?
What AI tools do you use daily in your development workflow, and how do they help you deliver faster?
What is your experience with Stripe, and have you handled payment reconciliation issues before?
Share examples of iOS and Android apps you have built or maintained.
