have developed a custom desktop application called ERIC Motion Studio. It is a Python application that controls a simulated Unitree G1 humanoid robot in MuJoCo. The application includes a PySide6 desktop interface, a MuJoCo viewer, and a natural-language motion generation system.
The project is simulation only. It is not connected to a physical robot, and it does not use BrainOS, DDS, SDK2, or Raspberry Pi hardware.
Current Issue
The application launches and runs correctly.
Existing built-in gestures (for example "put hand on chin") work correctly.
However, I want to add new natural-language commands such as:
raise left hand
raise right hand
lift left hand
lift right hand
Currently these commands produce:
MOTION_PARSE_FAILED
NO_MOTION_GENERATED
The project has gone through several revisions, and there appear to be multiple copies/backups of the main source file. I need someone to determine exactly which source file the launcher is executing and make the changes in the correct location.
What I Need
I am looking for an experienced Python developer to:
Diagnose the current project structure.
Identify the Python file actually used by the launcher.
Remove any confusion caused by duplicate project files.
Extend the natural-language motion parser.
Implement the missing raise/lift hand motion routine if required.
Verify the new motions animate correctly in MuJoCo.
Ensure all existing features continue working.
Test everything before delivery.
Environment
Python 3.11
MuJoCo
PySide6 / Qt
macOS
Unitree G1 simulation
Desktop application
Deliverables
Fully working source code.
Backup of modified files.
Short summary explaining what was changed.
Confirmation that the new natural-language commands work correctly.
Please apply only if you have strong Python debugging experience. Experience with MuJoCo, robotics simulation, or desktop applications is a plus.
