Dev Team: Build AI-Powered Children App MVP (Flutter/React Native + Python + AI Integration)

ABOUT BLUECAT: BlueCat is an AI literacy platform for children ages 8-12. We teach kids to understand, question, and think critically about artificial intelligence through interactive storytelling, challenges, and a friendly AI companion character. We are an AI empowerment platform for children. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: We need a small dev team or agency (2-3 people) to build our MVP. We are NOT looking for individual freelancers; we want a team that already works together and can deliver a cohesive product. We know what we need, we have clear requirements, PRD, technical standards, UI/UX, and branding. So you will not work from scratch. Your team should include: 1) Technical Lead / Architect — System design, code architecture, coordinates development, ensures quality 2) Full-Stack Developer — Mobile app (Flutter or React Native) + Backend (Python/FastAPI) 3) AI/LLM Integration Specialist — Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, ElevenLabs and other API integration, prompt engineering, and content safety filters This could be: • A small agency with these capabilities • A technical lead who works with an AI specialist • An established team of 2-3 developers who collaborate regularly WHAT WE HAVE READY (You’re not starting from scratch): 1. Product Requirements Document (PRD) — Complete, detailed 3-phase PRD with user stories, screens, data models 2. Technical Specifications — Complete, architecture diagrams, API specs, database schemas 3. UI/UX Designs — In progress, will be provided by separate UI/UX designer (Figma files) 4. Branding Assets — Complete, logo, colors, typography, brand guidelines and BlueCat character. 4. Content/Scenarios — Complete, story content, dialogue scripts, challenge designs 5. Interactive Prototype — Complete, HTML mockup demonstrating key flows Your job is to transform these ready specifications into a working MVP. SCOPE OF WORK: Phase 1: Onboarding Flow: • 10-screen onboarding experience • Child profile creation with parent approval • BlueCat companion introduction • AI knowledge assessment • World map reveal Phase 2: Zone 1 Gameplay • interactive learning scenario/challenges (available) • Card collection and reward system • Progress tracking and XP • BlueCat AI companion conversations (AI Model integration (e.g OpenAI, Claude or ElevenLabs API) • Content safety and age-appropriate filtering Phase 3: Full App Shell • Navigation system (bottom nav, world map) • Parent dashboard (separate login, progress visibility) • Settings and profile management • Deployment to staging environment Phase 4: Polish & Deployment • Bug fixes and performance optimization • App store preparation (iOS + Android) - won’t be published publicly but will shared with potential testers. • Production deployment • Handover documentation TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Mobile App (iPad or tablet version not a mobile phone version). • Cross-platform: iOS + Android (+ Web optional) • Framework: Flutter OR React Native — justify your recommendation • Responsive layouts for phones and tablets (iPad support required) • Smooth animations for character and transitions • Offline capability where possible Backend: • Python with FastAPI • Firebase as back-end (DB, authentication, ..etc) • Firebase Authentication (parent/child account linking) • RESTful API design AI Integration: • Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or ElevenLabs API for BlueCat companion • Prompt engineering for age-appropriate responses • Content safety filtering (input and output) • Conversation boundaries (approved topics only) • Rate limiting and cost management Infrastructure: • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) deployment • CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions) • Staging + Production environments DELIVERABLES: 1. Functional MVP — All 3 phases working end-to-end 2. Source Code — Clean, documented, in our GitHub repository 3. Deployed Application — Staging + Production on GCP 4. API Documentation — Swagger/OpenAPI specs 5. App Store Builds — Ready for iOS App Store and Google Play submission 6. Technical Documentation — Setup guide, architecture overview 7.
