Freelance Full-Stack Engineer — Fintech (React, TypeScript, Supabase)

We operate an early-stage e-commerce inventory financing fintech (founded 2021, small engineering team) building a platform that ingests data from accounting systems, banks, and large CSVs, runs financial analysis, and surfaces it via dashboards. We're looking for an experienced freelance full-stack engineer (5–7 years) to provide flexible, ad-hoc support across our stack: React + TypeScript frontend, Deno Edge Functions middleware, and Postgres on Supabase. The ideal contractor combines deep TypeScript fluency with strong Postgres skills and a production-minded approach. Work could include building integrations (Plaid, QuickBooks, CSV pipelines), handling schema migrations on a live database, occasional code review, and helping us think through architecture, deployment, and scaling decisions as they come up. Fintech/financial-data domain experience is a strong plus but not required. We work in short, well-scoped engagements and value engineers who can come in, get up to speed quickly, and deliver reliably with minimal hand-holding. The team is small and high-ownership, and we use AI tooling (Claude Code, Cursor) heavily. Hours are flexible and the arrangement is fully remote - ideal for someone we can call on for project work or ongoing support as needs arise.
