Full-Stack Developer Needed to Build Custom Clinic Appointment & Patient Registration System MVP

We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer to build a custom MVP for our clinic’s appointment and patient registration workflow. We run a clinic and want to move our appointment booking and new patient registration process into a simple, secure, easy-to-use internal web system. At this stage, we want to keep the scope focused. This MVP is only for appointment management and patient profile management. Other modules such as consultation records, prescriptions, billing, inventory, reporting, and full ERP features will be considered in later phases. The MVP should include: - Patient profile creation, management and search - Basic patient information fields, such as name, phone number, date of birth, gender, notes, and contact details - Appointment creation, editing, and calendar view - Appointment status tracking, such as booked, confirmed, completed, cancelled, or no-show - Ability to link each appointment to an existing or newly registered patient - Practitioner / staff schedule view - Basic admin dashboard for upcoming appointments - Staff user accounts - Role-based access for admin and staff, Secure login - Simple backup structure - Clean and user-friendly interface for clinic staff The goal is not to build a complex hospital system at this stage. We want a practical internal tool that helps our staff register new patients, manage appointments, and reduce manual work. We are open to recommendations on the best tech stack, but we prefer something maintainable and scalable. Possible technologies include React / Next.js, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, Supabase, AWS, or similar modern web technologies. We care more about clean architecture, reliability, and long-term maintainability than using trendy tools. Expected responsibilities: - Understand our current appointment and patient registration workflow - Suggest the best MVP structure - Design the database for patients, appointments, staff users, and schedules - Build the frontend and backend - Set up secure authentication and role-based access - Build the appointment calendar and patient profile management features - Test the system with sample data - Deploy the MVP to a reliable hosting environment - Provide basic documentation and handover Ideal candidate: - Strong full-stack web development experience - Experience building booking systems, CRM systems, clinic systems, SaaS products, or internal business tools - Strong database design skills - Experience with authentication and role-based access control - Able to build clean, simple, maintainable software - Good communication and ability to explain technical decisions clearly Please include in your proposal: - Have you built any appointment, booking, CRM, clinic, healthcare, or internal management system before? - What tech stack would you recommend for this MVP and why? - How would you split this project into milestones? - Please share 1–3 similar projects you have built.
