We have everything built and set up. You're doing minor edits for this part of the project to start off with.
We're looking for a Moodle expert to join us long-term for ongoing, ad hoc maintenance and light development work on our Moodle LMS. This is ongoing ownership of our Moodle site, not a one-time project — expect a steady stream of small, well-defined tasks each week.
What's already in place:
Our course content pipeline, automations, and content creation are already built and working. You will not be creating content or automations from scratch — you'll be doing minor edits, configuration, and conditional-logic setup on top of what already exists.
What we need help with:
Homepage setup – Configure and polish our Moodle homepage so it looks professional and organized (front page layout, blocks, navigation, branding).
Course UI/UX cleanup – Go through our existing courses and clean up the layout/design so they're visually consistent and easy to navigate (sections, formatting, images, activity organization).
SCORM package management – Import SCORM packages we already have, and edit their content, questions, and answers as needed. You should be comfortable working inside SCORM packages (not just uploading them) to make content edits.
Course version rotation pipeline – Set up conditional logic/restrictions so that when a learner completes "Version 1" of a course, "Version 2" (a different variant) automatically unlocks. We want a rotating pool of course versions so learners always get fresh content on repeat completions, rather than the same course every time. This will involve Moodle's activity completion, restrict access, and possibly cohort/group logic.
Mass email setup – Configure Moodle's messaging/notification or a mass-email tool/plugin so we can email groups of users directly through the platform.
General ongoing edits – Small recurring tasks: tweaking conditional release logic, adjusting course settings, minor content edits, troubleshooting SCORM playback issues, and similar light maintenance as we grow.
You should have:
Strong hands-on Moodle admin experience (site administration, course settings, restrict access/completion tracking, front page configuration)
Experience with SCORM packages — importing, editing content/questions/answers, and troubleshooting playback
Experience setting up conditional/completion-based course unlocking or similar branching logic in Moodle
Experience configuring bulk/mass email or messaging within Moodle
Comfort with UI/UX cleanup within Moodle's theme/course format tools (no custom theme development required unless you want to suggest improvements)
Reliable communication and the ability to turn around small tasks quickly
Engagement details:
This is an ongoing, long-term, part-time role — a few hours a week to start, with tasks assigned as they come up
Work is scoped as minor edits/configuration on an existing system, not building new automations or content from scratch
Hourly rate: $3–$7/hr (rate reflects the light, ongoing nature of the work — mostly configuration and edits, not net-new development)
Please share relevant Moodle work you've done (SCORM edits, conditional release setups, front page builds) when you apply
To apply, please include a short note on your Moodle/SCORM experience and any examples of course rotation or conditional unlocking logic you've built before.
