I am looking for an experienced senior full-stack developer to take over an existing mobile application that is already substantially developed.
The application helps users create shopping lists and locate products inside of retail stores in the United States using a combination of database-driven logic and AI. It includes:
Flutter mobile application (iOS & Android)
Backend API
Admin Panel
AI integration using the OpenAI API
Large retail database
User accounts
Shopping list sharing
Premium subscriptions
Google AdMob integration
Push notifications
The project is approximately 85–90% complete. My current developer is no longer involved, so I am looking for someone who can review the existing project, understand the architecture, identify any issues, and successfully complete the remaining work.
Phase 1 – Project Review (Paid)
The first milestone is not development.
Before making any changes, I want you to thoroughly review the existing project and become familiar with the codebase.
This includes reviewing:
Mobile application
Backend
Admin Panel
Database structure
API architecture
AI/OpenAI integration
Performance
Security
Code quality
Overall system architecture
After your review, I would like a written assessment that answers:
Can the existing codebase be maintained?
Are there any major architectural concerns?
What technical debt exists?
What improvements do you recommend?
Approximately how much work remains?
Are there any security or performance concerns?
Is the AI implementation efficient?
Are there opportunities to reduce OpenAI API costs?
I do not want someone who immediately starts coding before understanding the project.
Phase 2 – Complete the Project
After the review is complete, you will continue development and prepare the application for production release.
Remaining work includes:
Improve AI prediction speed
Improve AI prediction accuracy
Optimize OpenAI API usage and cost
Improve search functionality
Complete Premium subscription features
Expand Admin Panel functionality
Fix remaining UI/UX issues
Resolve bugs
Optimize application performance
Prepare both iOS and Android applications for production release
