AI Developer and Implementation Specialist | FULL-TIME

An AI-powered agency serving nonprofits and associations across the US. We are building the internal AI infrastructure that makes our agency run differently than every other agency in this space. And we are building AI products that our clients pay for. We need the developer who builds both. What this role is - You are the person behind the curtain making everything work. - You build the autonomous agents that run our internal workflows. You build the custom chatbots we sell to nonprofit and association clients. You work alongside our operations manager and our CEO to figure out what needs to be built next and then you build it. This is a ground floor role on a small AI team inside a fast-moving agency. What you ship becomes part of what we sell and how we operate... and how YOU GROW! What you will actually build - Custom chatbots trained on client content for nonprofit and association organizations. - Autonomous internal agents using Claude Code and Claude Cowork, and other custom tools that handle repetitive agency workflows without a human in the loop. - Multi-step automations in n8n or comparable orchestration tools that connect our systems and our clients' systems. API integrations, webhooks, and workflow triggers that make things talk to each other. - Prompt engineering frameworks that make AI output consistent, on-brand, and actually useful. - Internal tools that give our marketing team superpowers without requiring them to know how to code. What we need from you - You have built and deployed custom chatbots in real working environments. Not demos. Things that non-technical people use every day. - Hands-on experience with Claude, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork. You have shipped things with these tools. - Strong working knowledge of n8n and other comparable orchestration platform. Complex multi-step workflows, not just basic automations. - Real coding skills. Python, JavaScript, APIs. Clean code that other people can maintain. - Comfort with vector databases, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering beyond the basics. You stay genuinely current on what is happening in AI. Agent architectures, new model releases, emerging frameworks. Not because it is your job. Because you cannot stop! Full ownership mentality. You scope it, you build it, you make it work. Professional written English. You work with a distributed international team. What we are not looking for - Someone who has read about agentic AI but has not shipped it. - Someone who needs a complete brief before they can start thinking. - Someone who confuses complexity with quality. - Someone who works in isolation and surfaces fires after they are already burning.
