AI Automation & Agent Systems Architect About the Opportunity We are a fast-growing digital marketing and performance agency seeking an experienced AI Automation & Agent Systems Architect to help transform how our business operates. This is not a simple prompt engineering role. We are looking for someone who can analyze our existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and architect scalable AI and automation solutions that improve productivity, streamline operations, and enhance client outcomes. The ideal candidate has experience building AI systems that operate at scale, creating advanced AI agents, integrating multiple platforms through APIs, and implementing automation across departments. You should be equally comfortable discussing business strategy with leadership as you are writing code and building production-ready AI solutions. You will work directly with our leadership team to drive AI adoption throughout the organization and help establish a long-term AI roadmap. What You'll Be Doing AI Strategy & Process Optimization • Audit current business operations, workflows, and service delivery processes • Identify opportunities for AI implementation and automation • Recommend and execute scalable AI solutions that improve efficiency and profitability • Develop AI implementation roadmaps and operational best practices • Research emerging AI technologies and evaluate their applicability to the business • Create systems that reduce repetitive tasks and increase team productivity AI Agent Development • Design, build, and deploy AI agents for internal and client-facing applications • Create multi-agent workflows and advanced AI systems • Develop AI assistants for sales, project management, client services, operations, reporting, content production, and customer support • Build and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems utilizing internal documentation and knowledge bases • Develop reusable AI frameworks that can be scaled across teams and clients • Continuously monitor, optimize, and improve agent performance Automation & Systems Integration • Design and implement automation across business operations • Integrate AI systems with CRM, project management, communication, and reporting platforms • Build API integrations and custom workflow automations • Develop automated reporting, data processing, and operational systems • Ensure scalability, reliability, and security across all implementations Technical Development • Develop custom AI-powered applications and internal tools • Write, test, and maintain production-level code • Build prompt engineering frameworks and AI orchestration systems • Create and maintain vector databases and knowledge repositories • Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize performance • Stay current on advancements in AI technologies and frameworks Team Enablement • Train team members on AI tools and workflows • Create documentation and standard operating procedures • Support leadership and department heads with AI adoption • Establish governance, quality standards, and best practices for AI usage Required Experience We're looking for someone with proven experience in the following areas: AI & Agent Development • ChatGPT / OpenAI ecosystem • Claude • Gemini • LLM architecture and prompt engineering • AI agent frameworks • Multi-agent systems • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) • Vector databases • AI workflow orchestration Software Development • Python • JavaScript / TypeScript • API development and integrations • Webhooks • Database design and architecture • Cloud-based infrastructure Automation Platforms Experience with several of the following: • n8n • Make.com • Zapier • LangChain • Flowise • OpenAI APIs • Anthropic APIs • Google AI APIs Business Process Optimization • Experience analyzing and improving operational workflows • Experience implementing AI solutions within service-based businesses • Strong understanding of process improvement and operational efficiency • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications • Experience working within marketing agencies, creative agencies, consulting firms, or other service-based organizations • Experience building production-grade AI systems used by multiple teams or clients • Experience developing internal SaaS products or platforms • Familiarity with CRM, project management, and marketing technology ecosystems • Understanding of SEO, GEO, content marketing, sales operations, and client success workflows • Experience managing AI governance, security, and compliance What Success Looks Like • Identify and implement high-impact AI opportunities across the business • Significantly reduce manual workload through automation • Build a scalable library of AI agents and reusable workflows • Improve team productivity through AI adoption and training • Establish AI best practices and governance standards • Create systems that can be leveraged both internally and for client-facing services To Apply Please include: • A brief summary of your AI and automation experience • Examples of AI agents, automations, or systems you've built • The AI tools, frameworks, and platforms you're most experienced with • Links to any relevant portfolios, GitHub repositories, case studies, or demonstrations • Your availability and preferred engagement structure (project-based, part-time, or ongoing) We are looking for someone who can move beyond theory and actively build systems that create measurable business impact.
