Build a Pediatric Clinical Reference Web Application

Pediatric Clinical Reference Web Application Development Project Overview We are looking for an experienced web developer (or small development team) to build a web-based application for pediatricians. The application will function primarily as a clinical reference tool where doctors can quickly access pediatric guidelines, tables, and recommendations based on specific patient criteria. The project content already exists in PDF format. The main development challenge is organizing, filtering, and structuring the information from these PDFs into a user-friendly web application. --- Content Structure We currently have: * 15 PDF documents * 12 main categories * 76 subcategories * Total: 88 sections Each section contains: * Text content * Tables * Clinical recommendations The PDFs are relatively small (typically 1–2 pages each), but the information must be carefully reviewed, extracted, classified, and assigned to the correct section. Important: We expect the selected developer to perform the content extraction, categorization, and data entry process from the provided PDFs. --- Example User Flow Doctor Login 1. Doctor logs into the system. 2. Doctor enters a child's date of birth. 3. Doctor selects one of the 12 main categories. Example: "Routine Non-Standard Immunization Practices in Healthy Children" 4. Relevant subcategories are displayed. 5. Doctor selects a subcategory. 6. The corresponding table(s) and explanatory text are displayed. The goal is to provide very fast access to clinical information. --- Functional Requirements Authentication Doctor Registration * Registration form * First Name * Last Name * Hospital / Institution * Email * Password Approval Workflow * Newly registered doctors must be approved by an administrator before gaining access. Doctor Profile Simple profile page containing: * First Name * Last Name * Hospital * Email * Password management No advanced profile features are required. Content Navigation * 12 main categories * 76 subcategories * Searchable and easy-to-navigate structure * Display of structured text and tables * Responsive design Admin Area Minimum requirements: * View registered doctors * Approve / reject registrations Content management is NOT required. However, if you prefer implementing a simple content management panel, that is acceptable but not mandatory. --- UI / UX Expectations We do NOT require a highly customized or visually complex design. Requirements: * Clean and professional medical-style interface * Mobile-friendly * Good usability and navigation * Fast access to information A modern UI framework/template is completely acceptable. --- Technical Requirements The technical stack is entirely your choice. You may use: * Vue.js / Nuxt (preferred) * React / Next.js * Angular * Laravel * .NET * Node.js * Django * Any other framework you are comfortable with Database choice is also completely up to you: * PostgreSQL * MySQL * SQL Server * MongoDB * etc. Our priority is maintainable, clean, and well-structured code rather than a specific technology. --- Deliverables At project completion, we require: * Full source code * Database schema and export * Setup instructions * Documentation for local deployment We do NOT require production deployment. You do NOT need to publish or host the application. Providing the complete codebase and database is sufficient. --- Important Notes The most important part of this project is NOT the UI. The most important part is: 1. Reviewing the 15 PDF documents 2. Extracting the relevant content 3. Classifying content into the correct categories and subcategories 4. Entering the content into the application Please take this effort into account when preparing your proposal. --- Proposal Requirements To help us quickly evaluate candidates, please include: 1. Estimated Budget We understand exact pricing may require additional discussions. However, we need at least a rough budget estimate or range. **Proposals without a budget estimate will not be considered. 2.
