TYPO3 Developer needed to implement technical SEO fixes

We're looking for an experienced TYPO3 Developer (Freelance) to implement a defined set of technical SEO improvements for one of our clients – a European B2B biotech company. This is a project-based engagement with a fixed deliverable set, ideal for a freelancer who works efficiently and independently. About Us We are a global performance marketing agency working with ambitious brands across industries. We are continuously expanding our technical SEO capabilities and are looking for a hands-on TYPO3 developer to translate a technical SEO audit into concrete, working implementations – directly inside a TYPO3 CMS environment. What You'll Work On You will receive a full technical SEO audit, access to a staging environment, SFTP credentials, and direct support from our SEO team throughout. The scope is clearly defined: - XML Sitemap: Add all missing indexable URLs (blog posts, case studies, press releases) to the XML sitemap. A list of affected URLs will be provided. - Image Optimisation: Convert oversized header images (currently up to 591 KB, JPG/PNG) to WebP format and optimise to below 100 KB. Affected images will be listed. - Structured Data / Schema Markup: Fix and enrich schema markup across multiple page templates: Technology pages (active WebPage errors, missing BreadcrumbList), content listing pages (Article replaced with CollectionPage + ItemList), and article/press release pages (enriched Article markup with headline, image, datePublished, author, publisher, and mainEntityOfPage). A full per-template specification will be provided. - Redirect Cleanup: Replace temporary 307 redirects in navigation and internal links with permanent 301 redirects. Affected URLs will be listed. - GSC Indexing: Strengthen internal linking for pages currently flagged as "Discovered – currently not indexed" in Google Search Console, and submit them directly via GSC. Requirements - TYPO3 CMS experience is mandatory. You must be comfortable working directly in TYPO3 backend and via SFTP on a staging environment. - 2–4 years of technical SEO experience, ideally including at least one project involving TYPO3. - Solid technical SEO foundation: XML sitemaps, structured data/schema markup (JSON-LD), Core Web Vitals, redirect management, and crawl/indexing best practices. - Image optimisation skills: hands-on experience converting and compressing images (JPG/PNG to WebP). Familiarity with tools like Squoosh, ImageMagick, or similar. - Google Search Console: confident working with GSC for URL inspection, indexing requests, and interpreting coverage reports. Independent and structured way of working: you work against a defined spec, test on staging before deploying, and flag issues proactively.
