AI SaaS Developer (Python, Next.js & Perplexity AI) – Performance Optimization & Bug Fixes

We're looking for an experienced Full Stack AI Developer to help improve the performance and reliability of our AI SaaS MVP. The primary focus of this task is optimizing our integration with the Perplexity AI API and resolving a few related issues. The work includes Investigating and reducing latency in Perplexity AI API responses to improve the overall chat experience. Debugging slow request processing and identifying performance bottlenecks between the Python backend and the Perplexity AI service. Improving timeout handling, retry logic, and error recovery for failed or delayed AI requests. Fixing an issue where AI responses occasionally stream or render inconsistently in the Next.js frontend. Testing the complete request/response flow to ensure the improvements are reliable and do not introduce regressions. The ideal candidate should have experience with Python, Next.js, REST APIs, and AI model integrations such as Perplexity AI or OpenAI. Experience debugging performance issues and optimizing API response times is highly preferred.
