WordPress Integration of the Industry Offence Finder

We are seeking a skilled freelancer to integrate the Industry Offence Finder tool into our WordPress site. The project involves setting up secure admin access and ensuring database connectivity. The ideal candidate will have experience in WordPress development and security measures to ensure a seamless integration. This is a part-time engagement expected to last 1 to 3 months. The task is to integrate only the existing Admin HTML code into the WordPress website and configure it to operate in two modes: Public Mode and Admin Mode. By default, the page should function as the Public Industry Offence Finder, allowing visitors to search, filter by Sector, Industry and Offence Category, select offences, download results, print displayed information and use the Legend. All administrative functions must remain hidden and inaccessible to public users. When an authorised administrator enters the correct password or logs in with the required administrative permission, the protected Admin functions should become available. These functions should include uploading new offence CSV files, replacing existing industry data, deleting selected industry data, uploading or updating offence-category meanings, and downloading CSV data by selected industry or for all industries. When the Admin area is closed, the session expires or the administrator logs out, the page should automatically return to normal Public Mode. Backend and Database Integration The application should be connected to a separate permanent database to ensure stable performance, scalability and smoother handling of large volumes of data across all sectors and 111 industries. The database should separately manage: Offence records Sector and Industry relationships Industry-specific Offence Categories Offence Category meanings and examples Legislation references and hyperlinks Administrative upload and update records The system must preserve the relationship: Sector → Industry → Offence Category → Offence Records When authorised Admin changes are made, including uploading, replacing or deleting data, the database should be updated and the changes should be reflected immediately in the public-facing table. Recommended Technical Approach To make the application scalable, secure and maintainable, we recommend: Moving the business logic from the frontend to the backend. Processing and validating CSV files on the server. Storing the data in a database instead of relying on client-side processing. Exposing secure APIs for filtering and data retrieval. Implementing user authentication and role-based access to protect administrative features. The existing approved design, colour codes, responsive layout, mobile card view, filters, selection tools, download function, print function, legislation hyperlinks, Legend behaviour and footer must remain unchanged. The objective is to integrate the approved Admin HTML code into WordPress as a single professional application that operates as a Public Industry Offence Finder by default, while securely enabling authorised Admin functions and database management when appropriate access is provided.
