Senior Full-Stack / AI Engineer — Freelance Technical Interviewer (Per-Session, Ongoing) We're a managed engineering-services company building our panel of freelance technical interviewers. We need an experienced senior/lead full-stack engineer with AI/ML experience to conduct ~1-hour live technical interviews for engineers we vet — ongoing, per-session, on your own availability. Everything is provided: our platform, the coding tasks, the evaluation rubric, and the candidate. You're not sourcing anyone or designing tests — you run the session and give us your expert read. Each session (~1 hour): - A short live collaborative coding/debugging task (browser-based — nothing to install or run locally) - A deep-dive into the candidate's own code and reasoning - A brief written assessment using our rubric You're a strong fit if you have: - 7+ years building production software across the full stack (backend: Node.js, Python, or Go; frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript) - Practical AI/ML engineering experience (LLM integration, data pipelines, model deployment) — enough to judge whether a candidate genuinely understands what they've built - A solid grasp of security across the stack — you can spot exposed keys, injection risks, missing auth, XSS, and unsafe data handling in real code - Prior experience interviewing or assessing engineers (strongly preferred) - Clear, fair communication — you can tell genuine senior capability from someone giving surface-level answers, and put a candidate at ease while still probing properly How we work: - Ongoing, flexible — you accept sessions when a full-stack or AI/ML candidate comes up, around your schedule - We provide full prep (the task, the candidate's details, the rubric) before each session - Sessions are recorded (with the candidate's consent) for quality, training, and consistency of our assessment process — so you'll need to be comfortable being recorded during the reviews - Start with one paid trial review so we both see the fit A couple of notes: - A standard confidentiality/NDA agreement applies before you begin — normal for this kind of work, since you'll be assessing real candidates - Please don't apply if you're currently an active reviewer for a competing developer-placement platform (conflict of interest). Independent senior engineers and consultants are ideal.
