YRW Technologies owns and operates more than 25 software products across web, mobile and desktop. We are looking for an experienced CTO/Product Head who can take full ownership of product development, engineering teams and technical operations.
You will initially work with us on a part-time, contract and KPI-based basis, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time CTO position.
Responsibilities
Manage products from concept through development, launch and ongoing maintenance
Recruit, assess and manage developers, designers and technical teams
Identify product, UX and operational bottlenecks before they become problems
Create original features and user-focused interfaces that differentiate our products
Oversee QA, security, DevOps, uptime and code quality
Build organised workflows, SOPs and task-management systems
Automate or delegate repetitive operations where appropriate
Proactively recommend product improvements without waiting for instructions
What We Are Looking For
You must be more than a developer or traditional project manager. We need someone who can think independently, challenge standard processes and develop unconventional solutions to difficult goals.
You should have strong experience in:
Technical leadership and team management
Recruiting and evaluating engineers
Product management and project delivery
Full-stack development
UI/UX and product design
QA, security and DevOps
Workflow organisation and process automation
Our commonly used technologies include React, Next.js, Node.js, Django, PHP, Laravel, C++, Figma and Webflow. The ability to adapt quickly is more important than experience with every technology listed.
Previous experience as a CTO, technical founder, senior engineering leader, innovation lead or software agency executive is preferred.
Australia- or US-based candidates are strongly preferred.
