We're a small team launching a web platform that connects people planning outdoor spaces with professional landscape designers across Spain. A client picks a designer, checks their work, and books a paid consultation in a couple of clicks — no calls, no waiting for a quote. We're looking for a full-stack developer to build it with us over the long run.
What the platform does
Clients browse designers by city, project type (private gardens, terraces and rooftops, pool areas, restoration of existing gardens, commercial landscaping), budget and style, then book a fixed-price consultation directly in the designer's calendar. Payment is taken at booking; the fee is split automatically between the designer and the platform.
Each designer has a public page with portfolio, bio, services, prices and reviews. We seed the catalogue ourselves from open sources so there's real content from launch, and designers can later take ownership of their page, verify themselves and manage everything from a personal dashboard — availability, pricing, bookings and payouts.
A big part of the value is search visibility. We want dedicated pages for cities and regions across Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, coastal towns, etc.), generated automatically from our data and built to be indexed well by Google. This should scale to a large number of pages without us hand-writing any of them.
What we need built
Designer pages: portfolio, services, pricing, ratings, open slots
Search and filtering with a clean, fast results experience
Calendar-based booking (integrating Google / Outlook / Apple calendars)
Automated payments with a split between designer and platform
A pipeline that pulls designer data from public sources into our database
Auto-generated, well-indexed location pages at scale
A dashboard for designers to run their profile and see earnings
Reviews, imported and native
About you
You've shipped platforms with listings, profiles and transactions before
Comfortable with a modern JS/TS stack and server-side rendering for SEO
You've worked with a payment provider that handles marketplace splits
Calendar and webhook integrations don't scare you
You can write a scraper / data pipeline in Python or Node
You care about clean code, because we're in this for the long haul
Our tech thinking
We're leaning toward a Next.js frontend with server-side rendering, a Postgres-based backend with built-in auth, a payment layer that supports automatic splits, and a calendar/scheduling integration. Nothing here is set in stone — if you'd build it differently, tell us why. We value someone who shapes the approach with us, not just follows a spec.
In your reply, tell us:
How you'd approach the stack — and where you'd disagree with us
How you'd handle importing and generating designer profiles at scale
A realistic timeline to a working first version
A rough budget for the full scope
