Backend / Solutions Architect

Key responsibilities: Own and design the overall backend architecture for DocuSign-based integrations and services Define architectural standards, patterns, and best practices across Node.js / TypeScript services Design and evolve serverless architectures on AWS (Lambda-first approach) Make high-level technical decisions around: service boundaries and APIs data modeling and access patterns (DynamoDB) synchronous vs asynchronous communication Design secure, scalable OAuth2 / OIDC authentication and authorization flows Develop integration strategy with DocuSign APIs, webhooks, and third-party systems Ensure system scalability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency Set up and improve observability: logging, metrics, alerts (AWS CloudWatch) Review code and architecture decisions, provide technical guidance and mentorship Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and stakeholders Proactively identify technical risks and drive long-term system improvements Troubleshoot complex production issues and guide root-cause analysis
