Fullstack WordPress Developer

We're looking for an experienced Fullstack WordPress Developer to work with a small team who can independently study, document and take full ownership of the development, architecture, maintenance, codebase, and continuous improvement of an existing, large, business-critical WordPress platform. You'll be responsible for maintaining, designing and building custom functionality, developing plugins, integrating external systems, improving application performance, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring the platform remains secure, scalable, and maintainable. While experience with Elementor and WooCommerce is important, this role is also focused on backend development rather than page building, but page building may be necessary from time to time. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, writing clean, maintainable code, owning projects from design through deployment, and has excellent communication skills, especially with non Dev team members. ESSENTIAL SKILLS Fluent in English speaking and writing 4+ years of professional WordPress and PHP development experience Advanced WordPress plugin development Extensive experience with WordPress hooks, filters, and core APIs REST API development and integration WooCommerce development experience Strong MySQL and SQL optimisation skills JavaScript (ES6+) knowledge HTML5 and CSS3 Git version control Linux server management experience NICE TO HAVE SKILLS WP-CLI CI/CD pipelines Docker PHPUnit Redis or Memcached Cloudflare
